For 60 years David Smith St Ives (Cambridgeshire Based) have been the timber product supplier of choice for contractors, architects, housebuilders and self-builders all across the UK. We design and manufacture roof trusses, engineered joist systems, glulam beams/structures and bespoke staircases. We have designed our business to be able to fabricate the timber core of a build working harmoniously with each other as a major pitfall of a self-build (or any build for that matter) is getting crucial elements to work such as opening sizes in floors and roofs at the correct size for stairs, etc. If you get the stairs, joists and trusses right the rest of the build will flow!
