About Vastern Timber
Vastern Timber is a Wiltshire sawmill specialising in British grown hardwood for cladding, flooring and structural oak beams.
We work with timber sourced from responsibly managed British woodlands and process it into durable materials for buildings and interiors.
Our Brimstone range is thermally modified British hardwood, developed to offer the durability and stability needed for external cladding while keeping the material local and traceable.
Alongside Brimstone we supply a range of cladding species including British cedar, larch and oak. We also produce British hardwood flooring, bringing the same focus on quality, provenance and careful machining.
We’re closely involved in the journey the timber takes. The material we process in our own mill is carefully selected, allowing us to take full control over grading, machining and finishing.
Most of our customers are self-builders, architects and contractors looking for reliable timber and straightforward technical advice.
