Fox Eco Architects are an award winning environmental architecture practice based in Mid Devon, led by Matthew and Andrea Fox. We work closely with developers and self builders to realise homes and buildings built from natural materials. We are experts in low energy design, healthy buildings and low embodied energy.
Research is an important aspect of Fox Eco Architects, and helps to build knowledge on new construction techniques, materials and technologies that can enhance the design of new buildings. Fox Eco Architects have close connections with the University of Plymouth, with recent research leading to the commission and completion of the University of Plymouth CobBauge (a form of cob / earth construction) building.
We also work with historic and listed buildings to deliver sensitive alterations and refurbishments. We collaborate closely with natural materials suppliers to find the right solutions for improved insulation and energy generation for existing properties. We are also experts at gaining planning approval for solar panel installations on listed buildings and in National Landscapes.
